Directions

From I-95 or South

Follow I-95 to Exit 47 (Route 34 Connector, Downtown New Haven). Take Route 34 to Exit 3 onto Frontage Road. Cross immediately into the right-hand lane of Frontage, then turn right at the first traffic light onto York Street.

From I-91

Follow I-91 to Exit 1 (Route 34 Connector) and follow the directions above.

From the Merritt Parkway (RT15)

Take the Merritt to Exit 54 (I-95 North) and follow the directions above. Note that when returning on I-95 south you take exit 38 for the Merritt.

PARKING

Chapel-York Garage

Located at 150 York Street between Crown and Chapel Streets. Yale Rep Subscribers and Pass Holders receive coupons for parking discounts at the York/Chapel Garage. Patrons should present their parking coupons (distributed with tickets) to the attendant when exiting the garage.

Yale Center for British Art Lot

Located directly behind the Yale Repertory Theatre at 153 York Street.

Central Parking System Garage (currently labeled as Kinney Systems garage)

Located at 280 Crown Street at the Corner of High Street, and only a block and a half walk from Yale Repertory Theatre. Open during the daytimes only until 7PM.

The Study Garage (opening in August 2008, formerly Colony Inn)

The Study, a new boutique hotel, located at 1157 Chapel Street between York and Park Streets has an adjoining garage just a block walk from Yale Repertory Theatre.

Parking Express Lot

Located on Howe Street (at Chapel Street). The Parking Express lot is two blocks walk to Yale Repertory Theatre.

Broadway Plaza Lot

Located on Broadway in the plaza. The Broadway Plaza Lot is a block and a half walk to the University Theatre; two blocks walk from Yale Repertory Theatre.

Broadway/Elm Street Lot

Located at the intersection of Broadway and Elm streets. Open during the daytimes only until 5PM.

Street Parking

There is street parking available on Chapel, York, High, Park and Crown Streets. Meters charge $1.25/hour with a two hour limit until 7PM and accept nickels, dimes and quarters and the Parcxmart Card. The Parcxmart Card, which acts like a debit card, is available for purchase online or at many New Haven stores and restaurants.
