What time does the show start?
All evening performances begin at 8PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Matinee performances are played at 2PM on Saturday. There is a special Monday evening performance at 8PM during the first full week of the run as well as a 2PM matinee on the final Wednesday of the run. View show calendars.
What if I am late?
It is often not possible to seat late patrons in their ticketed seats once a performance has begun. It is distracting both to the performers on stage and the audience enjoying the show. If you arrive late, the Rep ushers will seat you in the first available seats inside the theatre. You may take your reserved seats at intermission.
Can I exchange my tickets once I've purchased them?
Ticket exchange is an exclusive benefit of subscribing to Yale Rep. We know how unpredictable schedules can be and so subscribers may exchange their tickets for another performance as often as they wish. Please call the box office at (203) 432-1234 or stop in person during regular business hours. Exchanges are subject to availability: we'll try to match your new seats to your original tickets, but cannot guarantee an exact switch. There's no charge for exchanges but upgrade charges will apply if you select a new performance that's higher in price than your originally purchased performance. Tickets will be held at the box office for pickup during regular business hours or prior to your new performance. We recommend that you pick up all tickets 30 minutes prior to curtain time.
What is Yale Rep’s policy on children?
Everyone entering the theatre must have a ticket. No babes in arms will be admitted. Please check with our Audience Services staff as to the age appropriateness of Yale Rep productions.
Where can we get something to eat before or after the show?
The Rep is located in the heart of downtown New Haven, in walking distance to some of the area's most exciting dining options. You can dine at area eateries that offer special discounts to Yale Rep subscribers. Concessions are available in the Rep Lounge before every performance and at intermission. Please remember, food and beverages are not permitted in the auditorium at any time. Smoking is not permitted inside any of the Rep facilities.
